Data collected

Through the contact form: first and last name, email address, country of residence and time zone, native language, estimated French level, goals, preferred lesson format, availability, free message, and the language of the website used.

Only your name, email address and consent are required. All other information is optional.

Purpose and legal basis

This data is used only to answer your request, assess your needs and organise possible French lessons.

Processing is based on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), given by ticking the box provided, and on pre-contractual steps taken at your request (Article 6(1)(b)).

Recipients

Your data is intended solely for Alix Debon. It is never sold or passed on to third parties.

The form is technically handled by the hosting provider Netlify, Inc. (United States), acting as a processor. Netlify participates in the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and uses the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, which govern transfers of data outside the European Union.

Retention period

Data from a contact request is kept for a maximum of 3 years after the last exchange, then deleted.

If you become a student, the data needed to follow your lessons is kept for the duration of the relationship, and accounting documents (invoices) for the legal period of 10 years.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and the French Data Protection Act, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to and port your data, as well as the right to withdraw your consent at any time.

To exercise these rights, write to alix.debon@gmail.com. You will receive a reply within one month at most.

You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority: www.cnil.fr.

Cookies and analytics

This website uses no advertising cookies and no analytics tools. Fonts are hosted on the website itself: no data is sent to third-party services when you visit.
